The global Festival of Learning is underway, with the first leg in Indonesia and Malaysia.
The ASEAN leg of the global Festival began on Monday 27 March at BINUS University, Indonesia. Talks from BU experts and in-country partners focussed on tourism and business - with ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ staff and students presenting their work to a captivated audience.Â
The Festival then moved to University Sains Malaysia, in Penang, with a host of events and an industry roundtable featuring speakers including Y.B. Dr. Afif Bahardin, Penang State Executive Councillor for Agriculture and Argo-Based Industry, Rural Development and Health. Â
The global Festival of Learning comprises a series of events in collaboration with in-country partners that celebrate the best of ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ, its research and its knowledge.
Over the last four years, the Festival of Learning has established itself as a celebration of learning and it has showcased BU’s research and expertise to a wide and varied audience, inviting members of the public to engage with BU.
Building on this successful model, last year BU piloted a global element to the Festival of Learning, hosting events in Malaysia and China. This year, the global element of the Festival continues to grow, with events in Malaysia and China, as well as India and Indonesia.Â
The global Festival will head to India in April and China in May. For more information about the global Festival of Learning, and to view the programme of events for the ASEAN leg, visit the  or follow @GlobalBU on Twitter.Â
