At BU, we encourage you to experience new cultures, learn about different ways of working and explore incredible places as part of your journey with us. There is growing evidence that these experiences are valued by employers and will help you stand out in an increasingly global and competitive graduate jobs market.
Whether it’s studying abroad, securing an overseas work placement, volunteering, taking part in a summer school abroad or simply learning a new language, there are lots of programmes and activities to choose from.
Ultimately, all of these experiences will enhance your student experience but also give you valuable skills that will help you stand out when applying for a job or setting up your own enterprise once you graduate.
Funding available
If you decide to undertake an opportunity abroad you might be able to benefit from funding to contribute towards some of the costs of your activity.Â
Our Turing Scheme funding is available to all ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ students and recent graduates, undertaking worldwide opportunities, with a duration of 4 weeks to 12 months, from September through to August.
