​Over recent years, futsal has become an increasingly popular sport in England, including among university students. With similarities to 5-a-side football, it’s mainly played indoors on a hard court with a smaller, low-bounce ball and is a fast-paced, exciting sport.

Futsal is recognised as a competitive sport in . If you’re a highly skilled and talented player, you can try out for TeamBU Futsal. They represent BU nationally in BUCS leagues and competitions throughout the year.

²Ñ±ð²Ô’s: Mondays 8am-11am, Fridays 7:30am-9am
°Â´Ç³¾±ð²Ô’s: Tuesdays 3pm-4pm, Thursdays 4pm-5pm
Training venue: Sports Hall, Talbot Campus

Fixtures

Games are played on Sundays.

Fixtures venue: Talbot Heath School, Rothesay Road, Talbot Woods, Bournemouth, BH4 9N and Sports Hall, Talbot Campus

If you’re successful in becoming a member of TeamBU Futsal, you’ll be required to purchse a sport-specific membership.

This fee includes: BUCS affiliation fees, personal sports insurance, weekly coaching and Team²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ transport. You will also have an opportunity for strength and conditioning sessions.

Meet the coaches

Our futsal teams are coached by Andrew Boland.

Andrew is FA Level 2 qualified and holds further accredited coaching awards in Futsal and Street Soccer. On a day-to-day basis, Andrew is a Demonstrator in Sport at the ²¤ÂÜÊÓƵ Business School.
